Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is surgery which changes the shape, the structure and the function of a nose.
A surgery intervening in the middle, central part of the face, marking and defining any
face.
A perfectly operated nose should be invisible on a face, allowing the redirection of attention to eyes and mouth. It should have a natural aspect, maintaining individuality and perfect functioning (breathing).
Type of rhinoplasty
Primary
A procedure performed on patient for the first time.
My philosophy is to preserve as much as possible: All tissue (bone and cartilage) are always re-implanted.
Secundary
Revision (Secondary) rhinoplasty is performed subsequently previous surgery with unsatisfactory aesthetical or/and functional outcome.
It is demanding surgery, due to the lack and the damage of structure of the nose and a pathological scarring.
This is difficult task for the patient too, where we face negative experience from previous surgery, aggravated by uncertain result of new procedure, needing sometimes a psychological support.
In this type of rhinoplasty is frequently necessary grafting of cartilage and fascia, and I constantly use own patient´s tissue (autologous).
Philosophy
Always respecting primarily functionality with a consequent aesthetic correction.
Attitude
Structural, Preservation, and Hybrid (combination of both).
